Here are some key things to be aware of so that you can conduct deliveries safely:
Picking up orders at a restaurant:
Adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines
Please ensure you adhere to all current COVID-19 guidelines from your State Government - these could include check in via QR code, the use of a face mask, social distancing and more. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are constantly monitoring Government advice and all communication sent by the Menulog team to ensure you adhere to these guidelines.
It is also essential that all collections and deliveries are conducted ‘Contact-free’ to ensure safe social distancing. For more information, see our article on Contact-free Collection and Delivery.
Thermal bags
Be sure to bring your thermal bag with you; the restaurant will ask for it! When you enter the restaurant, you can kindly notify the staff that you are here to collect a Menulog order. Confirm the order number with the restaurant to ensure you pick up the correct one.
Secure the order in your thermal bag to keep it at the right temperature for the remainder of the delivery, then swipe to confirm the order was collected and update your delivery status.
Delivering to the customer:
Keeping contact details private
If you run into any issues while completing a delivery, for example, if you have trouble finding the address, you can send an SMS or call the customer directly for more information using the in-app call feature. Please note, we will hide your phone number through the phone masking technique to protect your privacy. If you still have issues, you can chat to the Employed Courier Support Team directly via the chat function on the Menulog Employed Courier App. Please see our article Customer is unreachable for more information on what to do if you are unable to contact the customer.
Keeping your courier account safe
As an employee, it is your responsibility to ensure that you take the necessary steps to secure your account and payment information. If you suspect you are targeted or are a victim of fraud, we suggest that you immediately contact the authorities and request you please make sure you report such instances to the Employee Success Team by using the non-live chat function or by emailing us at employeesuccess@menulog.com so we can follow up with you. Below are some tips to keep your courier account secure:
- Never share your login information, including any two-factor authentication code(s) sent to your phone
- Change your password regularly
- Report suspicious messages immediately.
